Being An Independent Woman

We were talking about popular brands when we arrived at.. Bob: Braun Buffel, I used to own one. But I dunno now I think it's a little.... Me: Mainstream? Yea a little. A lot of people have it. Bob: Ya last time my friends and I used to compare our wallets because we all had one. But it's quite a good price la right? Me: Ya for the quality, it looks quite good. Bob: Ya and you know all my friends, their wallets were given to them by either their girlfriends or ex girlfriends. All of them. Me: Oh ya ya! Most of my friends bought it for their boyfriends.  WAIT. So who bought yours for you then? Bob: Oh I bought it myself ^^ Me: Awhhhh  Bob: But it's okay, it's because I'm independent! ^^ Me: AWHHHHHH! - Later, we walked into a store and.. Bob: This is my song! Me: What song? Mama had a hair appointment, so we spent the day in Bangsar on Valentines Day. "It's Valentines day today ma" " Oh ya! It's the 14th is it? I completely forgot it's the 14th" "Ya! The restaurants are going to be all packed tonight" "So...is Bob taking you out tonight?" she didn't really say Bob. "No, maybe tomorrow" "Did he buy you flowers?" I woke up early to make breakfast last Sunday. Anne, Fresh and Sue Ann we're coming over to judge my cooking (like literally). They actually stood around me as I cooked, inspecting what I was doing like we were on Master Chef and they were Gordon Ramsey, that Italian guy and that Elvis looking guy... ...except we weren't or Anne would've been crying. *she cried watching Masterchef* I got started on cooking before they came over and mama was sitting in the kitchen; "My friends are coming over for breakfast ma, so I'll be cooking in here" "Oh. Is Bob coming to help you?" she didn't actually say Bob. What You've Unknowingly Been Snacking On.

The other day I saw cereal sitting on the counter, Whole grains with a delicious blend of roasted nuts, seeds and coconut mixed with real fruit. it was packaged and printed with hipster font that promised a wholesome breakfast, nutrition - the kind you see ladies jogging to in commercials- and maybe even an instagrammable post.  and I decided to have some. Very out of character for me because...well, I barely eat cereal. So I poured it out into a bowl, "wow, so much wheaty grains in this!" I thought to myself. I poured milk into my bowl; the stark contrast of grains and wheat against the white milk, it was evident I made the right choice this morning by choosing such a nutritious breakfast. I was crunching away at the cereal and watching a documentary that someone shared about Queen Elizabeth when I noticed some grains were floating instead of sticking with the rest that were sunken at the bottom of my breakfast bowl.
