What Mama Says | About Valentines Day






Mama had a hair appointment, so we spent the day in Bangsar on Valentines Day.

"It's Valentines day today ma"

" Oh ya! It's the 14th is it? I completely forgot it's the 14th"

"Ya! The restaurants are going to be all packed tonight"

"So...is Bob taking you out tonight?" she didn't really say Bob.

"No, maybe tomorrow"

"Did he buy you flowers?"

"No. No he didn't," I say.
 (He thinks they're too mainstream..Yea whatever, who needs flowers anyway :< )

"Oh..Maybe you can get him a book"

"What kind of book?"

"...a book about what you should do for Valentines day"

Hello and Happy New Year! It's 2014! The year of change and ...the horse. So! I decided on something and I'm excited albeit a little anxious about it, I'm gonna be honest. But I expected it. Change is always a mix of excitement and anxiousness right? ...that's why it's called change. What I didn't expect however, was the amount of annoyance I was going to feel. It was Christmas last year when I got my friend a present that I knew she'd love! I thought   I was soooo brilliant   when I got it. It was practical and smart and   cool   and   hip,   everything she wanted. We were super busy during the time so I wasn't able to pass it to her. But when I finally saw her, "Aiya! I forgot to bring your present!   Nvm nvm! It's okay, I'll bring it the next time!  Remind me okay!"  I've seen her almost every other week and I keep forgetting about it.
